Orient Star Hotel opened in Samarkand in April 2001and was graded as 3 star hotel in line with local standards.Orient Star is located in the northern part of Samarkand, along the road that leads to the complex of Islam Al Bukhory. Central location makes it very easy for the guests to go around historical sites of Samarkand.
Anumber of small hotels in Samarkand are located deep inside residential areas, which, on the one side can make it easier to witness the daily life of locals, but on the other side can cause problems with orientation in unfamiliar place. Orient Star Hotel in this regard is easily found by being located at one of main streets. At the same time it is only 10 minutes’ walk away to the historical center of the city. The most prominent monuments of Samarkand, the Registan Square, Bibi-Khanum mosque and the Bazaar are less than half an hour walk. Lot of eating places nearby.
