Asian Food Exhibition AgriTek 2010 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan

9th annual International exhibition on food and beverages, food processing, packaging and agriculture AgriTek Uzbekistan 2010 will be held in September 2010 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The event is organized by TNT Productions, Inc with the official support of Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Association of Farmers of Republic of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan Situation

Uzbekistan has the largest economy among the Central Asian states. The country keeps the 6th place in cotton production (approximately 4 million tons per year) and is No. 2 in the world cotton exports (more than 1 million tons worth over $ 1.5 billion per year).

Uzbekistan is seventh largest gold producer in the world, with the 4th largest gold reserves and supplies more than 70 tons of gold per year. Since 1991, Uzbekistan has doubled its oil production (more than 9 million tons), making the country oil-independent. Uzbekistan has significant fuel resources and is in top ten of largest producers of natural gas. Uzbekistan is also the largest consumer market in Central Asia
