Near the Nadir Divanbegi madrassa is a small formal garden which houses a modern statue of Khodja Nasreddin, an ancient "wise fool" who lived about 1000 years ago and features in Sufi children's stories as a "Robin Hood" character who helped to redistribute the wealth in the country from the rich to the poor.Exmaple of enlightening stories from Hoja's life: 'So Hoja, how is your donkey? well not so good... it died as soon as I tought it not to eat'.. hmmm..
