Uzbekistan Hotel is ideally located in the heart of the Tashkent city. Hotel welcomes its guests with warm Uzbek hospitality. Part of the hotel was recently refurbished to meet the 4 star hotel requirements.Hotel Uzbekistan received its first guests in 1974 and until recently it was the only hotel intended to receive and render services to a great number of guests arriving at Tashkent. And not accidentally it is called "Uzbekistan" - like the country itself.
The Location of Uzbekistan hotel is great – in the centre of Amir Temur Square from where you can go by walk to the Independence Square, galleries, museums and a nearby supermarket. It is the perfect location for foreign visitors. It will save a lot of time to the tourist exploring Tashkent from that point. The park which is in front of the hotel is a nice place to walk and relax oneself.
Uzbekistan Hotel is a mix of the European and Uzbekistan architectural styles, one of the most attractive buildings in Tashkent situated in the business centre of the city, very close to Amir Temur subway station. Uzbekistan Hotel is located 10 km from Tashkent International Airport, 7 km from Northern railway station and 12 km from the Southern railway station. The ancient city square with its century old plane trees and the magnificent Amir Temur Museum are to be found near the Hotel. The main pedestrian street, Sayilgoh Street, with numerous cafes, restaurants, art salons and shops join the square. This is a favorite place for citizens and guests.

Hotel “Uzbekistan” offers 254 rooms, 126 rooms with balconies. All rooms are subdivided into the following categories: Single room, Standard Single room, Superior Single, Superior Twin, Suite room. Some rooms are really old fashioned and service is completely missing. But some rooms have been refurbished recently. It will be better to request a room on a high floor or facing the front, because their banquet hall does a business in wedding receptions, and the music will keep you going until 1am at the latest. The single rooms are small but clean, with a balcony. The bathrooms are also clean with good water pressure and hot water.

Having visited the restaurant you'll be pleased with a good choice of meals, as Restaurant "Uzbekistan" is specialized in both: National and International cuisine.Gourmets will relish the delectable and astonishingly unending variety of delicacies found in Uzbek cuisine. Uzbek cuisine is moderately spicy. There is a big variety of tasty Uzbek dishes, that Restaurant "Uzbekistan" is pleased to offer.The staff of the hotel is friendly. They can prepare a 'breakfast box' for you before the official breakfast time if it is necessary.

3 hotels were used during the trip and all were very clean, attractive and comfortable, centrally placed with bars and other services available. The staff at the larger Hotel Uzbekistan in Tashkent, as well as the more intimate Old City in Bukhara and Malika Prime in Samarkand were without exception polite and helpful and the rooms & ambiance generally attractive with local colour. My only criticisms were that for a westerner, there were no tea-making facilities or water in the room and phone calls back to the UK were difficult and expensive. Regardless, I shall return as soon as I can.
