National Airline Company "Uzbekistan Airways" celebrating its 20th anniversary of establishment. Over twenty years of its existence, the Uzbek civil aviation has passed long, complicated path of formation and the formation of a modern airline. Today it plays an important role in the further expansion of fruitful cooperation and strengthening the ties of Uzbekistan with many foreign countries.
The implementation of well thought-out long-term strategy for the development of domestic civil aviation, high professionalism of the team allowed the National Airline Company to occupy a worthy place in the international air transportation and maintenance. Achieved good results in the field of aviation safety and quality of operations, extensive use of advanced technologies for the maintenance of aircraft, as well as in skills training have been noted repeatedly by authoritative international aviation organizations.
At present time National Airline Company "Uzbekistan Airways" equipped with modern aircrafts, flying to more than 25 countries. All airports of the country have been upgraded at the level of world standards. The success of the National Airline Company indicated by the fact that during 2011 year it was transported 2.3 million passengers and about 50 thousand tons of cargo goods.
