Fascinating piece of nature - Aydar-Arnasay, system of lakes, where ecosystem of mountains, deserts and swamps converged – recognized as one of the most promising areas for development of ecological tourism in Uzbekistan. This exotic land, located from Tashkent in just three hours away by car.After desiccation of the Aral Sea, Aydar-Arnasay Lake system has become the largest reservoir in Uzbekistan and is essential for maintaining biodiversity in the country. This chain of lakes is stretching almost 300 miles. It begins in the north-west from the Chardara dam on Sir Darya and rests on the south-east of Nurata Mountains. In the west, adjacent to the lakes one of the greatest deserts of the planet - Kizil Kum desert. The largest reservoir of lakes chain - Aydarkul - spilled on an area of 3.7 thousand square kilometers and has a capacity of more than 40 cubic kilometers of water.This chain of lakes is one of the most unique places on the planet. Their flocks fly across our country every autumn from the north of the Eurasian continent to Hindustan Peninsula, Asia Minor and Africa and in spring time again through Uzbekistan to the north with a transit stop on the hospitable lakes.
