At the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan held a meeting dedicated to the further development of the tourism industry and increase exports of tourism services, with the participation of heads of ministries, business associations. In the short term implementation is planned several activities for the implementation of approved programs targeted activities to promote tourism and increase the export potential of tourism services in the region for the period 2011-2012 years development of tourism infrastructure, as well as to develop medium and long term development programs to promote tourism in the country tour potential of foreign touristic markets.

In particular, the planned establishment of a unified register of touristic facilities, recreation areas, resorts, medical wellness, fitness, recreation and ecotourism organizations and institutions. As the press service of the National Company "Uzbektourism" informs, in order to attract domestic tourists to travel around the country decided to establish a regional program for the development of domestic tourism for 2012-2013, whose implementation will contribute to creating an enabling environment for tourists and enhance the interest of Uzbeks to tour facilities of the republic. However, work on creating a set of measures for the development of tourism in Uzbekistan for the period 2012-2016 years.

They also plan to develop the samples of tourist traffic signs to be installed in airports, railway stations, tourist cities and highways of the country. It is planned to hold seminars on the topic: "Lessons of hospitality and service" for the organizations involved in servicing of tourists in the area of ​​skills development in tourism sphere. This important task entrusted to the National Research and Training and Consulting Center of "Uzbektourism", which will assume responsibility for organizing and conducting of training activities.

Work will continue to organize events that show tourist opportunities of Uzbekistan in abroad. It should be noted that in 2011 the foreign representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan in total were more than 400 events on the presentation of tourist potential of the country abroad, which helped attract additional tourist traffic in Uzbekistan.
