Uzbekistan attracts tourists from all over the world
Turkish expert on Central Asia, Omer Atagencha published an article at information-analytical publication in Ankara «Turkish Forum» about "17th Tashkent International Tourist Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road."
The article praised the role and position of Uzbekistan on the Silk Road, covers the Tashkent International Tourism Fair, the creative work of Uzbekistan after independence in the reconstruction and development of cultural and spiritual values of Uzbek people, the reforms in the sphere of tourism.
"The first thing that comes to mind when talking about the Silk Road, it is very important trade route in the history of civilization. This path is not only a trade route, but at the same time it forms the center of historical and cultural heritage. Cities of Bukhara and Samarkand are prime examples of this heritage. O. Atagench notes that since Uzbekistan gained independence in the way of building a strong state has made significant achievements in all spheres. Great strides can be seen in the tourism sector. Uzbekistan, along with the organization of tours, places great emphasis on holding the international symposiums in this industry. 17th International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road" was organized in early November in Tashkent. At the fair, organized by the National Company "Uzbektourism", were attended travel companies and agencies from 36 countries. Turkey first became a partner of the fair and presented Chorum and Urdu regions. Folkloric Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey played number of national music and dance for two days at the fairgrounds.
Speaking at the opening of the fair director for UNWTO Members Haver Blanco emphasized the importance of the tourist potential of Uzbekistan and its growing reputation in the tourist market. In the framework of the fair also hosted a seminar on "Innovative solutions used for the development of the tourism industry", which were made and exchanged views, local and foreign experts.
It should be noted that the work of 17th Tashkent International Tourism Fair is not passed by the Turkish media attention.
