Authority of Uzbekistan is strengthening on the global tourism market
An International touristic fair “World Travel Market - 2011” hosted on November 7-10, 2011 in London. The tourism potential of our country was presented in this fair.
Under the leadership of President Islam Karimov continued work on the general promotion of overseas tourism potential of Uzbekistan, the tourism industry to further improve the tourism infrastructure is yielding good results. Uzbekistan, located in the heart of the Silk Road, with its ancient historical monuments, unique culture and traditions, beautiful scenery attracts more and more tourists from all over the world.
There is everything that meets the interests and demands of tourists, more and more developed areas of the tourism sector in Uzbekistan. In particular, there have been developing species such as eco-tourism, sports, archaeological and ethnographic tourism, agro tourism, recreational, cultural and educational.
Uzbekistan is an active member of several prestigious international touristic exhibitions, fairs and festivals held in many countries around the world. National Company "Uzbek tourism" closely cooperates with many foreign companies and is a global touristic potential of our country. This year alone it has been involved in international tourism festivals, fairs and conferences in China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Russia, Belgium, Hungary and Turkey. International tourist fair «World Travel Market - 2011" held in London provided an opportunity to present more extensively the enormous potential of Uzbekistan in the sphere of tourism.
As reported by the National Company "Uzbektourism" at the International Tourism Fair «World Travel Market - 2011" with the participation of more than six thousand travel agencies and companies from more than one hundred and seventy countries around the world their products and services provided by such companies and firms of our country, as " Uzbektourism "," Uzbekistan Airways "," Uzbekistan Railways », « Afsona Travel », « Dolores Travel Services »,« Orient Voyages »,« Sitara International ». This fair helped to world public awareness of the possibilities of our country's tourism industry and to strengthen cooperation with foreign tourism companies.
Representation of all areas of modern tourism industry, in particular, such as business, exotics, ecology, sports and educational tourism, cruise, hotel and restaurant services, health tourism were showed at the fair.
London International Tourism Fair provided an opportunity to learn about recent trends in world tourism market, the signing of cooperation agreements. During the Fair the Uzbek delegation held talks and exchanged views with foreign experts to more actively attract tourists to our country, discussed issues related to implementation of joint projects.
