The trip between Tashkent-Samarkand has become shorter
The cost of the ticket for high-speed train "Afrosiab" with the route Tashkent-Samarkand will be in average of 25 USD.
According to the chairman of the «Uzbekistan Railways" Mr. Achilbay Ramatov, the average ticket price for high-speed train Talgo («Afrosiab"), which will operate on the route "Tashkent-Samarkand", will be 41 000 soums. The price will vary depending on the passenger seat class.
The length of the new train is 157 meters, height - 4 meters, time to destination - 2 hours 10 minutes. "Afrosiab" consists of two locomotives and nine tourist class comfortable carriages - two VIP class, two business class, four economy class and a bistro class. Maximum speed - 250 km / h. It also has cabins for disabled people with all necessary facilities.
Previously tourists traveling in Uzbekistan were spending around 3, 5 hours to get to Samarkand, but now they spend only 2 hours and 10 minutes.
