Meeting with the representatives of NC "Uzbek tourism", with the airports of Uzbekistan and the tourist enterprises of the country has taken place at the conference hall of "Uzbekistan" hotel.
The air transportation is very popular among tourists. Doubtless advantages of aircraft are speed, comfort and safety. To reach from the country capital where arrive the majority of the international flights, to Urgench and Khiva, Nukus or Termez is better on a comfortable aircraft. That is why the international airports as air gate of our country are an important component of the tourism industry.
About it and many other things spoke at a meeting devoted to the questions of interaction of the tourist enterprises and the airports of our country, representatives of tourism sphere. In the general opinion, service improvement at the airports is the important factor of increase in a volume of passenger traffic. During the action questions of service level increase and creation of effective service system satisfying the requirements of passengers, in particular tourists have been considered.
The basic attention has been given to the work of Tashkent International airport: were discussed possibilities of time reduction of passing the check-points of the airport and luggage reception. It was offered to improve the conditions of the service for invalids and pensioners, to organize excursion rounds for passengers of transit flights, to settle a question of arrival of tourist buses on a platform.
11 airports are included into the structure of NA «Uzbekistan Airways». Six of them – Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, Termez, Navoi – have the international status.Cooperation of aircraft and tourist sector actively develops. As an example, creation of the tourism department of the National airline, assistance in carrying out fact-finding «mega info tours» for foreign tour operators and mass media representatives, realization of a joint advertizing campaign on advancement of tourist possibilities of Uzbekistan on the foreign markets, joint participation at the scale stand of Uzbekistan at the international tourist fairs FITUR in Spain and ITB in Germany.
