Uzbekistan took part in an exhibition of tourism in Latvia
The 18th International Tourism Fair «Balttour-2011" was held in Riga.
Representatives of travel companies in Uzbekistan attended the opening ceremony.
Three-day exhibition was visited by 22,500 people, including 4,500 specialists in tourism.
In particular, there were presented all associated with tourism and travel industry's state and local tourism agencies, tourist information centers, transportation companies and other representatives of the sphere of tourism services.
During the presentation, participants were provided with much information on investment and tourist potential of Uzbekistan. The stand of Uzbekistan drew attention to the history of the republic, the rich cultural and historical heritage, little known to Europeans traditions and customs of Uzbek people, the flavor of the Uzbek market.
The exhibition met representatives of the tourism industry of Uzbekistan with travel agencies, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Sweden and Finland, during which they discussed issues of further cooperation aimed at increasing tourist exchange between the countries.
