The exhibition center «Brabant Hall» Belgian city of Leuven held its annual popular tourism fair, organized by one of the leading Belgian tour operators «Hobo Reisen. It provided information on the tourism potential of over 40 countries around the world. 

Presented by our country's diplomatic mission in Belgium, a special stand dedicated to Uzbekistan and decorated in national style of the masters of applied arts in Uzbekistan, has attracted particular attention of visitors. Bright distributing booklets on the tourist potential of Uzbekistan, just over two hours were dismantled numerous visitors of the international tourism forum.

In the course of the fair a film was shown about the rich historical, cultural and architectural heritage of the Uzbek people, the achievements of the republic's independence in various areas, in particular, the Government's measures to improve the tourism infrastructure.

Visitors are also provided information about the tourist potential of Uzbekistan, interesting tourist destinations, historical and cultural landmarks of the country.

According to the leading tour operator company «Hobo Reisen» Jolanda Kelkelts who  has been to Uzbekistan before, said that  travel to our country left her unforgettable experiences and fond memories.

"I have chosen  Uzbekistan for myself  because, in my opinion, this is one of the most interesting and amazing countries, which affects literally everything I saw - said J. Kelkelts. - This is a rich history, unique cultural and architectural monuments are extremely hospitable and friendly people, confidently and rapidly are building their future. And the more often I visit Uzbekistan, the more and more I enjoy it. "

According to J. Kelkelts, she was particularly impressed with the attention that the leadership of Uzbekistan to the preservation and restoration of cultural monuments and architecture of ancient cities.

"Before my first visit to Uzbekistan I have read many materials on the history of Uzbekistan familiarized with numerous photographs of dilapidated historic buildings, made during the former Soviet Union. Imagine my surprise when, having arrived in Uzbekistan, I saw a wonderful restored historic architectural complexes, which made an indelible impression on me ", - said J. Kelkelts.

She stressed that after independence, along with the revival and restoration of historical and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan a tourist infrastructure has been developed, beautiful hotels and modern airports were built, reached a high level of service that meets international standards.

President of the company «Hobo Reisen» Adri Gotz noted the growing interest of Europeans in Uzbekistan, which has not only a rich historical heritage, but is, nevertheless, one of the most stable and prosperous countries of Central Asia. He reported that in 2010, led by travel companies 3 major tourist tours were organized  with representatives from Belgium, who on their return expressed sincere gratitude, and were impressed by the high level of service in Uzbekistan and pinned invaluable cultural and historical monuments.

Tourism Fair held in G.Lyuven once again demonstrated the growing interest of Europeans in the opening of new tourist routes for themselves, got acquainted with the history, culture, traditions and customs of the peoples living along the route of the Silk Road and tourist potential of Uzbekistan.
