The Japanese public got familiarized with the ancient culture of Uzbek people
The Japan-Uzbekistan Friendship Association organized a folk art exhibition of Uzbekistan in Tokyo. The event was attended by representatives of cultural and social organizations in Japan.
The visitors got acquainted with the Uzbek musical instruments, folk arts and samples of clothing Uzbekistan.
Welcoming the guests, Fukuo Ito, President of Japan association of guitarists noted that the Japanese media had regularly published materials on the development of the relations between Uzbekistan and Japan in the political, economic, trade and tourism spheres. He stressed that such exhibitions are of a great significance for deepening the bilateral cooperation in the cultural sphere as well as promote better understanding between the two nations.
The exhibition held a joint concert of singers of the Uzbek and Japanese classical music. “This concert has made a great impression on the participants. We will make every effort to organize various musical programs with dutarists and guitarists” Fukuo Ito said.
Akane Masaoka from AGT Travel Agency said that the event provided an opportunity to acquaint the Japanese public with the culture of the ancient Uzbek land. In this regard, she expressed confidence that many of the participants of the event be willing to visit the sunny Uzbekistan.
