Uzbekistan Natural Resources allows to fully develop all types of ECOTOURISM
Uzbekistan Natural capabilities on development of ecotourism are almost unlimited.
According to Ecology Movement of Uzbekistan press service, biodiversity is an important factor in tourism development. Healthy ecosystems annually attract hundreds of millions of tourists. At the same time, tourism, being one of the spheres of the economy directions, also plays a fundamental part of biological resources in management and conservation.
According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), eco-tourism is recognized as one of the most promising sectors of economy. This species is a young but growing effectively sector of industry incomes constitute the major share of GDP in several countries around the world.
Eco-tourism gives people opportunity to recognize nature without experiencing human intervention, which develops ecological knowledge and at the same time contributes to preservation and maintenance of intact natural monuments.
Such kind of type of tourism brings important contribution to implement measures on conservation and provides significant financial support for their effective implementation.
Uzbekistan Natural resources can fully develop all types of ecotourism. Agricultural tourism is one of the main types of ecotourism, which help to familiarize with the life of rural population, to organize a variety of trips, sports, science and Photo excursions on the unique natural features of our region, including in protected areas, which consists following natural monuments: 9 state parks, 2 national parks, 9 nature reserves and 2 state.
Both foreign and local tourists are interested in rich flora and fauna of our country. The unique nature, landscapes, important archaeological sites, paleontological remains and geological deposits are fertile ground of ecotourism development.
With this purpose Executive committee of the Central Kengash Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan has developed tourism route on “Jeyran” and “Sarmysh” eco-centers last year, which are located in Bukhara and Navoi regions
For visitors necessary conditions have been organized to enable them, in the Environment Centre area, to get acquainted with flora and fauna activities, particularly rare species of animals specially bred in the center. These are gazelles, wild asses, Przewalski horses, mountains sheep of Bukhara.
Navoi region administration has built bridge, made of environmental responsible building materials to visit the gorge Sarmysh, which attracts tourists from all over the world with famous petro glyphs. To develop tourism destination are planning to pass the road and open visitor centers in the future. There are also unique natural areas Zaamin, Bachmann in Dzhizak region, Nurata in Navoi, Bostanlyk in Tashkent and others.
Unfortunately, eco-tourism has not yet been properly developed in our country.
Accourding to this the first steps were published on three languages, which called "Nature of Uzbekistan. Kashkadarya.” It reflects the unique natural features, picturesque landscapes, mountain slopes and ravines of the country. Also, this publication received "Rare nature" prize at the International competition. There will be published several books about the natural wealth of each region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
To develop ecotourism in the country LLC Ekosarbon was established by the Ecology Movement Committee of Uzbekistan. The main purpose of this center is to train qualified people, specialized on environmental issues: guides, tour guides. Also they are planning to open eco faculties and prepare highly skilled specialists at higher education universities.
We hope the expansion of cooperation of the Environmental Movement of Uzbekistan, Uzbektourism and local authorities will lead to positive results on developing new environmental routes, promoting ecotourism and improving environmental education.
