The 16th Tashkent International Tourism Exhibition (TITE) "Tourism along the Silk Road -2010" will be held in Tashkent at the UzExpo Centre from 7th to 8th of October, 2010
According to the results:
One of the largest Exhibitions of the Central Asia region - XV Tashkent International Tourist Fair "Tourism along the Silk Road" was held on November 21-22, 2010 in Tashkent, at the Academy of Art, "Hamar" pavilion. The organizers of this event were the National Company Uzbektourism and Advertising Agency "Great Silk Road".
The official opening ceremony TITE-2009 was attended by the representatives of the Embassies of 25 countries, representatives of diplomatic corps and Heads of International tourism companies.
With diplomas on the nomination of “Best of the best of the tourist season in 2009” were awarded following the official opening part of the Exhibition.
Considering the dynamically developing cooperation in tourism sphere this year country-partner of TITE was Malaysia. Ms. Azizah Binti Aziz, Director of the Moscow Office of the Malaysian Tourism, Head of the Malaysian Delegation came to participate at the Exhibition.
According to the results the representatives of more than 26 countries attended the Exhibition TITE-2009. They are from Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, Cyprus, Greece, Tajikistan, UAE, Czech Republic, Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia, Russia, Korea, Latvia, Thailand, Italy, France, China, Switzerland, India, Sultanate of Oman, United Kingdom, and Japan.
Also there were representatives of more than 250 tourist organizations of Uzbekistan and foreign countries, many foreign companies were participated within the frame of united stand of their country. The total number of foreign and local representatives participated in this event were more than 300. The exhibition was attended by over 3000 visitors.
During the Fair days there were presentations on capacity of tourism of Czech Republic, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Also, there were presentations of national folklore groups from different countries.
The Exhibition provided wide information on various directions of tourism such as culture, history, architecture, education, sports, adventure, extreme, exotic, ecology, ornithology, mountain, medicine, agriculture, music, automobile, congress, and so on. Many tours use the combined route, which is becoming a popular among travelers.
Countries’ exponents were presented at more than 80 decorative stands; the visitors had the opportunity to receive the broad knowledge on the tourist potential of the foreign countries.
The official information directory with the full information about all participating tourism companies was published to register all participants of TITE-2009.
