Uzbekistan-Malaysia: Strengthening relations in tourism
On July 15 Malaysian delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Anif Aman, located in Uzbekistan on an official visit, held talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the talks the sides exchanged views on the current status and prospects of Uzbek-Malaysian relations, as well as international and regional issues of mutual interest.
The sides noted the high level of cooperation between the two countries. It was also emphasized that the relations between the two countries are developing on the basis of mutual respect, trust and commitment.
The foreign ministers stressed the need to further strengthening of bilateral economic and investment cooperation, as well as expansion of ties in tourism, education and agriculture.
During the meeting it was noted that there is a need for more effective implementation of the signed mutual contracts in terms of investment and.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on regional security and stability. Mr. Aman emphasized his government's full support to the position of Uzbekistan in establishing peace in Afghanistan. In this context, he said that Uzbekistan plays an important role in ensuring regional stability.
