Participants were informed about the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, which played a significant role in the development of the Silk Road. In this regard, drawing attention to the existing Uzbekistan’s huge tourism potential, in particular, such world famous cities like Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Shakhrisabz. Huge volume of work was done by efforts of the Republic officials to support and develop tourism and taken measures to improve tourist services, hotel development and transport infrastructure.
During the meeting there were discussed also the status and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
