Uzbekistan’s presentation of tourism potential in Italy
Within the framework of scheduled activities on assistance to develop tourism and to increase the flow of travelers the embassy of Uzbekistan in Italy with the help of Caserta city municipality conducted a presentation on touristic potential of Uzbekistan on December 12, 2009. City municipality’s responsible officials, regional council delegates, businessmen, representatives of the biggest tourist companies of Italy and mass media participated in this event.
“Round table” devoted to expansion of bilateral relations in the tourism sphere and increasing of tourist flow into the republic of Uzbekistan was organized as a part of this event. Exposition of applied art samples from the best masters of Uzbekistan, brochures and wide range of uzbek cuisine meals were arranged during the event. Documentary materials telling about cultural life of Uzbekistan were filmed. Wide information on touristic potential of Uzbekistan, tourism development activities, spiritual riches and cultural heritage of uzbek nation, unique historical sights, geographical benefits, weather and climate conditions of the country were given to the participants.
Also the information on tourist companies, agencies and hotels specializing in inbound tourism in Uzbekistan were presented. Participants emphasized that high interest to Uzbekistan’s tourism is determined not only by rich cultural and historical heritage, but during the years of independence Uzbekistan could reach improvement in all spheres.
State joint stock railway company “Qzbekiston Temir Yollari” (“Uzbekistan’s railway”) and Spanish company Patentes Talgo S.A. has signed a contract to buy two new high-speed trains Talgo AVE 250.
