The company «In the world of imaginations» intends to organize a charter flight from Moscow to Uzbekistan. Company General Director Marina Saushkina gave information on country presentation within the framework of MITF tourist exhibition which held in Moscow. Probably, the beginning of flights will take place during this season. Negotiations with air carriers are already conducted. Charter flights will help to lower the total cost of itineraries and to increase number of the Russian tourists going to Uzbekistan. As Mrs. Saushkina has explained that now the tourist packages lion's share is made by air flights, for which the tourists pay from 16 to 25 thousand roubles (550 to 850 USD). Meanwhile 8 days tour program with accommodating in comfortable family hotel, three meals a day and the basic excursions manages approximately in 33 thousand roubles (1100 USD).
The adviser for trade and economic issues of Uzbekistan Embassy in Russia Alisher Pajgamov has told RATA-news that - «Our country visits about 100 thousand Russian citizens a year, and only 40 thousand of them come with the tourist purposes». Our compatriots do not enter even into the first six of the countries which are in the lead on arrivals of tourists to Uzbekistan. The most part of the country visitors are the citizens of France, Japan, China, South Korea, Italy and Germany. In total Uzbekistan annually accepts up to 300 thousand tourists.
The embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia is extremely interested in country advancement in the Russian tourist market and firmly intends to return the lost positions. After all in a Soviet period Samarkand was the second city for tourists in the USSR after Leningrad (Saint Petersburg). «Demand for trips to Uzbekistan grows on 30-40 % annually », - Mrs. Saushkina said.
