Speech of Mr. Hyuga Perne, the Ambassador of France in Uzbekistan, on the occasion of the International day of Museums (on May, 18th 2009) and 130th anniversaries from the date of Pavel Benkov's birth.We with pleasure have gathered today on the occasion of celebrating of two important events in the field of art and a cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.The international day of museums, is celebrated annually all over the world on 18th of May.
Uzbekistan, on which territory is about hundred museums, by right is one of the most corresponding places for the organization of the given event.Museums of Uzbekistan are rich versatile:Archeological collections testify to magnificence of ancient civilizations.Art crafts show us a variety of local regional traditions and creations of masters.The miniature and painting should be noted especially as in collections of museums of Uzbekistan one of the most original are stored in the world of cloths of the twentieth century.
Also it is important to allocate and collections of photos, a heritage which we start to open for us and which clearly proves influence of region on development and formation of the given art.All these cultural riches open the big possibilities for the population of Uzbekistan.The museum also is motive power for tourism development. Not casually the theme a museum and tourism became a theme of the international day of museums of 2009.
Undoubtedly, Uzbekistan can count as the museum collections to strengthen tourist branch.Among treasures of museums of Uzbekistan are stored Pavel Benkov's products, in honour of the birth day we have gathered today. Pavel Benkov is one of outstanding personalities in the history of art of Central Asia in the twentieth century.Benkov had communication with the French art.
