The celebration of the 2200 anniversary of Tashkent city will take place in September, 2009!
The complex actions for preparation of 2200-year-old anniversary celebration of the city are successfully spending, considerable work on restoration of historical monuments and a city accomplishment is carried out. The 2200 anniversary of the Tashkent city will be widely celebrated according to the decision of the president of the country in September, 2009. The decision on anniversary of the capital of Uzbekistan is accepted at 34th session of the General conference of UNESCO. The international public will accept wide participation in anniversary actions. A majestic building - the Palace of forums "Uzbekistan" will decorate in shortly time the capital centre, which becomes the main place of carrying out the anniversary actions.
Further in it will be held various meetings, conferences, presentations, including within the limits of activity of the international organizations which includes our republic. The area of this building makes more than 9, 5 thousand square meters. The palace becomes one of the largest constructions of this sort in the capital. Three halls will take place under its arches: one - on 2200 and two - on 300 places everyone. But the most important thing is, that the Palace of forums "Uzbekistan" will amaze not only with its dimensions, but also with the magnificent appearance.
Thematic festivals, exhibitions, concerts and competitions are held within the limits of the spiritually-educational actions devoted to the anniversary of the capital. The new tourist routes will lie in a year. The youth sports competitions will pass. The work on release of the book-album "Tashkent-2200", encyclopedias "Tashkent", the popular scientific edition «The history of Tashkent» and the monograph «The history of Tashkent in archaeological sources» come to the end. Two-art film «Tashkent: yesterday and today», a multimedia disk «the Beautiful Tashkent» is preparing.
The international scientifically-practical conference «Value of a city Tashkent in world civilization development» becomes the important event in a scientific and public life of the country, the Academy of sciences of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of culture and sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, NC «Uzbektourism» also the representation of UNESCO in our country will take part in organization and carrying out of it. Actions with participation of the international community, devoted to the 2200 anniversary of the Tashkent city widely carrying out with assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassies of our country abroad. Presentations of a cultural-historical heritage of our capital will be organized in the United Nations Organization, Germany, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Japan, Saudi Arabia and in other countries.
