The International festival of silk and spices has passed in Bukhara.The International festival «Silk and spices» passed throughout three days on the glorified area of Lyabi-hauz in ancient Bukhara city.Hundreds of handicraftsmen from all regions of the republic and from the neighboring countries have taken part in traditional action which was spent by the Bukhara regional hakimiyat, territorial branch of NC "Uzbektourism" and the regional association "Hunarmand».
It was noticed at the festival opening that powerful work on revival of national values, development of national workmanship is spending in the republic. The national crafts really actively developing in the country. The present festival also became evident to volume acknowledgement. Production which made by businessmen and skilful masters, has occupied the basic part of the exposition placed on the wide area.
The silk fabrics, especially original traditions of the Fergana school’s fabrics manufacturing was involved the attention of visitors.Exhibition of spices also were impressed the compatriots and foreign visitors.The demonstration of ethnographic samples of the suits made by fashion designers of the country from natural silk has taken place within the limits of festival at summer theatre on the area of Lyabi-hauz.
The craft products, the architectural monuments reflecting national traditions are involved tourists. Tourism – is one of the factors showing potential of the country and the development of economy. It was in detail discussed during the conversation on a theme «the Role of the national workmanship in tourism development in Bukhara area» which has taken place in hotel "Grand Bukhara".The rewarding of the best handicraftsmen has passed in the end of the festival. The master on manufacturing of silk fabrics Nurmuhammad Valiev from Fergana, the skilled carpets worker Holida Bobohonova from Surhandarya and Zuhra Obloberdieva who continuing the traditions of shafiran’s embroidery school became the winners.
