The new flight Tashkent-El-Kuwait will open in June, 2009
«Opening of the given flight will allow adjusting an air communication between Uzbekistan and Kuwait. Thanks to this direct flight mutual cooperation in tourism and business sphere becomes more active», - has noted A.Hashimov. By the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic, documents on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific and technical spheres, mutual stimulation and protection of investments, avoidance of the double taxation are signed between Uzbekistan and Kuwait.
During the official visit of the emir of the State Kuwait sheyh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Djaber as-Sabah to Uzbekistan in 2008 have been signed also: agreements between the governments of two countries about the organization of joint committee on cooperation, about cooperation in public health services sphere, about cooperation in tourism sphere; between the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kuwait fund of the Arabian economic development the credit agreement on reconstruction and equipment cardio surgeon branches of the Republican specialized surgical centre ($12,97 million) ; Memorandums on mutual understanding of cooperation in oil and gas branch, about mutual understanding on protection of environment and natural resources, about mutual understanding on cooperation between the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kuwait fund of the Arabian economic development, between the Ministry of external economic relations, investments and trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kuwait company «Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al-Kharafi and Sons» about hotel building, the report on mutual understanding between the given ministry and the Kuwait investment agency. In the uzbek-kuwait relations the important role is played by trade, economic and investment cooperation.
The Kuwait fund of the Arabian economic development in 1997 has allocated the loan at a rate of $19,8 million for project realization of water delivery to Nukus and Urgench.In a course of El-Kuwaits summit in 2004 between the government of Uzbekistan and the Kuwait fund of the Arabian economic development has been signed the memorandum on cooperation which provides allocation $215 million for financing of 9 projects of Uzbekistan on water to power supply, irrigation to construction.
Within the limits of the memorandum in 2005 means for the project «Electrification of a branch line of Tukimachi-Angren» ($20 million), in 2006 the project «Equipment by the modern equipment 171 regional centers of the emergency medical aid» ($20, 75 million) has been allocated. Between Uzbekistan and the given fund active cooperation and within the limits of the Arabian coordination group is adjusted. At the session of this group which has taken place last year in Tashkent; it has been considered 26 projects concerning education spheres, public health services, rural and a water management, power, the chemical industry, public service, construction and metallurgy.
